Love in the City » Looking for Love in All the Right Places

by Love in the City
roxbury I hope you all had a lovely three-day weekend. I did. But then again, I began my holiday with an attractive doctor who is looking for love. We met for a consultation at another one of my favorite coffee shops . Not a bad way to start the weekend, eh?

Back to the task at hand—your dating system! Last week, you wrote down your dating history. Let’s take a look at your homework assignment. What did you find?

Did you do your homework? This was your assignment... Take some time and jot down some notes on what has worked, or not worked for you, in past relationships. Look for common themes, patterns and attractions to those intimate partners. Then, take some time and think about the roadblocks standing between you and a successful relationship.

Love in the City » Is Your 'Partner Picker' Broken?

by Love in the City
leaving (Written from one of my fave coffeeshops !) The end of summer is inching closer, fall is just around the corner, and the holidays will soon be upon us. Did you have a summer of love? If yes, keep up the good work. If not, help is on the way! Then, take some time and think about the roadblocks standing between you and a successful relationship. Be a voyeur in your own life: think about your story as if it were someone else's. Is There Love in the City?

by Love in the City
2214255725_3e601e6728 "There is love in the city," I thought. While sitting in one my coffee shops in Portland, I watch young families with their children—healthy, hip, and organic, such as it is in our green progressive city. Couples sit together, some working on their laptops with feet and legs touching, while others are talking with hands entwined. Yes, there is love in the city. As I go through my day as a matchmaker, I see singles everywhere: on their computers, reading books, or staring out a window—lost in a daydream of days past or pondering possible future happiness that has seemingly alluded them. Love is in the city for them too.... it's just finding it. We all need to start with that initial date, the first step to love or disaster. Ok, I know, I know, you have to actually get the date in order to better your chance of love, but let's be done with the disasters already. Where do you find a date? Can a woman approach a guy? How many singles events have
