Tanner Ducks

by shooter
Some of you may have noticed that we have a resident pair of mallard ducks in Tanner Springs who have ducklings. Friday evening I spent a bit of time in Tanner and got these shots. If you are relatively calm, don't try and get too close, and generally don't appear threatening momma will bring the little guys out.

The little ones can be bold and get ahead of mom.

Dad seems to hang out where he wants...

Leaving mom to mind the little ones.

Yeah, they are cute.

Great photos! I saw the pair a few days ago, but not the ducklings. Thanks for documenting nature in the Pearl.

So Cute! I saw the ducks last year, just trying out the spring. Looks like I'm not the only one that thinks the Pearl is a nice place to raise a family. :]

Thanks everyone for your comments! As I get some free time I'll head back out for updates.

Way too cute! Do we know if they sought out their new home in Tanner Springs, or if a resident assisted them with their move? I vote for the neighborhood picking names for our new little neighbors. : )

There were 3 little duckies...not sure what happened. Where is daddy during all of this anyway. He was around when they first discovered the pond and soon disappeared. Whatssup with that? I do enjoy checking up on them and watch the gregarious little duckies.
