Farmers Market this Saturday!

by nancy
Signs of spring in Portland? Not so many these last few weeks. Unless daffodils being shredded by hail is a harbinger of seasonal change. The Portland Farmers Market opens their 17th season this Saturday, so hopefully the growing season will follow.

More than 100 local vendors will gather on the Park Blocks of the Portland State University campus. Come and welcome them back to the city and peruse the stalls for early season produce, herb and vegetable starts, flowers, locally-raised meats, fresh eggs, artisan cheese and chocolates, nuts, honey and prepared specialty foods.

Warm up the family with 'Garden Party at the Market'. Complimentary tea beginning at 8:30am and carrot cake at 11:00am available while supplies last! Tea is provided by Tea, Chai, Té - making tea not war with 120 blends, including chai, mate, kombucha and organic teas.
