cheeky b, locally & family owned, was voted Portland’s number one gift store by the Citysearch Audience in 2007. We feature handpicked, original and refreshing goods such as: Jewelry, kid's toys, novelty, paper goods, housewares and handbags.

This position assists the store owner with day-to-day operations of a retail store. It is crucial that one relies on experience, judgment, and resources (including manager) to plan and accomplish goals. Position requires flexibility in scheduling. A special interest in housewares, crafts, fashion, and/or design is important.

Examples of basic duties include:
Ensures customer needs are met with friendliness & efficiency
Merchandising and product presentation
Using a PC for projects and our point of sales software
General cleaning and upkeep of store
Checking and tagging inventory, stocking shelves

Examples of advanced duties include:
Monitoring new styles and products
Helping build customer base through special events, campaigns
Maintaining the store while the manager is out

This job is available immediately and will include some evenings and weekends as well as weekdays (20-30 hours). In addition, we expect employee to work the upcoming holiday season. We require a high school diploma with at least one year of retail experience. Employees must be comfortable using and problem solving basic computer issues.
