Happy Holidays!
by pearlgirl
Merry Merry everyone...
Just a reminder to go by streetcar and shop locally this holiday season. Here are a few gift ideas...
1. Gift certificates from Pearl restaurants and coffee shops. These are useful in the smallest denomination! A good choice for the person who has everything, because everyone needs to eat. ;-)
2. Season tickets or individual tickets at Portland Center Stage.
3. Spa services. Kanani Pearl, Nirvana, Pearl Nails, Fresh Skin Boutique
4. The joy of reading. Shop Powell's for rare books, bestsellers or even a gift card.
5. Sign up for classes -- art classes at Innerspace or (in the Gadsy Building), PNCA; sign up for wine classes at Urban Wine Works; cooking classes at Whole Foods Market, In Good Taste or Sur La Table; or knitting classes at Knit Knot Studio or Dublin Bay.
6. Music, audio/visual equipment Visit John at Stream Audio & Video or Every Day Music on Burnside (at 14th)
If you are pressed for time and are looking for the shop most likely to have something for everyone on your list, I recommend Cheeky B and Relish. Both have a wide range of gifts -- personal and home accessories, jewelry, handbags, toys, books, wallets, barware, cards and giftwrap-- for men and women.
Want to add your favorites to the list? Post a comment. :-D
