"I just read over on Oregonlive.com that Pho Van Bistro will be closing down temporarily for renovation and re-opening as "Silk". I called to get the details. Currently they're planning on renovating in mid-April. They expect the work to take about a week or two. Primarily they'll be giving the room a more modern look with lighter colors. They'll also be adding a bar where they'll serve mixed drinks, soups, and a new small plates menu. (Taking a lesson from Andina, it seems.) Favorites from the main menu will remain, but they'll be transitioning out some less popular dishes and transitioning in new dishes.

The new Hawthorne Pho Van opens to the public on Wednesday at lunch. They'll be open every day except Mondays for lunch and dinner. Menu is essentially the same as the 82nd store without the 7 Courses of Beef."
