In July of 2012, Oklahoma native and the kingly named William F. Steuernagel V opened a cheese and cracker snack cart. That cart may no longer be in operation, but you can still get your snack on because Steuernagel and his partner, Nathan Hall, have gone brick and mortar, opening a 22-seater with a new menu that goes beyond what may be the perfect snack pairing. In addition to Steuernagel and Hall’s cheese plates—which come with homemade crackers and, if you want one to go, are packaged in compostable boxes—expect chicken wings, macaroni and mornay, grab-and-go ham and cheese sandwiches, and breakfast items (including the homemade biscuits that Steuernagel learned to make as a boy in the Sooner State). Also available are beer, bubbles and wines by the glass and bottle. And if you really want to make a picnic of it, those bottles of wine can be ordered to go.
