Navigating a sea of an estimated 30,000 fairgoers may not sound like an appealing way to spend a precious sunny afternoon in Portland. But doing just that was easy breezy at the 2012 Mississippi Avenue Street Fair. 

The fair offered enough variety—music, vendors, food, activities—to move people along from one thing to the next. It kept lines short and smiles plastered on faces, large and small. Kudos to the Historic Mississippi Avenue business district on a job well done!
