Interested in Leading a Community Project? Attend SOLV's Volunteer Action Training, Jan 28

Learn how volunteers can help your community accomplish more with less. This workshop is designed to help community members organize a SOLV project focused around litter cleanup and removal, invasive plant removal, native planting, or watershed maintenance and monitoring.

Thursday, January 28, 2010

9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Oregon State Office Building
800 NE Oregon Street
Portland, Oregon, 97232

This workshop will focus on recruiting and leading volunteers; preventing volunteer burnout; working with the media; and fundraising. The training will help you work with your neighbors to improve your community. It is free for anyone planning a SOLV project; otherwise there is a $75 fee for training materials.
