CHAP Party for Isobel's Clubhouse

Thank you to everyone who came to the Children's Healing Art Project party last week, and huge thanks to the anonymous donor who made it possible.

The children had a great time making ornaments for CHAP to sell. Mr. Bossy always has the best selection of art materials and this event was no exception. Glitter, feathers, googly eyes, moldable putty and much more was available for the children to apply to their ornaments. Sale of the ornaments benefits the important work that CHAP staff do, as they bring the healing power of art to children in hospitals.

CHAP will be open every day from 11:00 - 7:00 from now until December 24th. You can come in to create ornaments, make holiday cards, and of course the creative staff and volunteers will have lots of other activities as well.  If you haven't been by CHAP recently, this is a great time to go. The space is so kid friendly, and has developed a patina of art and love that is wonderful to experience. For those families with winter-break children pacing around, this is a great option.

Pictures of the event are up on our Flickr page. If you have photos from the event that you'd like to share, please email them to centralportlandfamilies@gmail.com.
