Update (August 27, 12:30 p.m.): Statement regarding Palomino Portland from Jeff Martin, Palomino Brand Leader:

While we have enjoyed seeing our Palomino concept grow to be one of our most successful brands, we made the difficult decision to close our Palomino restaurant in Portland, Oregon on August 24, 2009. While our Palomino concept was quickly embraced by the Portland community, it came with certain financial expectations that were not achieved. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful Guests for their patronage and look forward to seeing them at our 20 other restaurant locations in the greater Portland area. These include, but are not limited to; Portland City Grill, Henry's, Stanford's, Newport Seafood Grill and Kincaid's. For those Guests with reservations, we will assist them in making alternative arrangements at any one of other 20 restaurants in the greater Portland area. While these types of decisions are always difficult, we are excited to provide Portland a wide range of dining options across 7 brands and 20 restaurants. We would like to extend an additional invitation to all of our Portland Guests to visit us at one of our other 57 restaurants nationwide. (www.restaurantsunlimited.com).
