East Portland Loves a Parade

Today, take a step back in time and enjoy the best of old-fashioned neighborhood Independence Day parades. Join the East Portland Community Center (EPCC) as they host the 12th Annual EPCC Independence Day Parade. Pre-parade activities start at 10 a.m.; the parade starts at 11:30 a.m. at the community center (740 SE 106th Avenue).

Please join EPCC for pre-parade activities, including hot dogs, face painting, a climbing wall, and flag-making.

Then, watch the festivities or join in the fun yourself by dressing up in your celebratory best and marching along with the band! The colorful processional of all ages, from kids on their patriotically decorated bicycles to a military honor guard, winds through the community before returning to the community center for more fun.
