Amalee Boutique, located right off the main drag of the Mississippi district, will be closing their doors on May 8th. In her farewell email to customers, Amalee owner Leeann Molinari suggested coming in sooner rather than later, as merchandise was going quickly.
She also left open the possibility that she might open up shop "in a neighborhood near you!" Until then, she will continue selling her vintage inspired jewelry line Verabel on Amalee's website, which will eventually transition into www.verabeljewelry.com. She also has an Etsy shop online.
Amalee was open for two years at the North Beech Street location.

As noted in our May 5 Notes of Interest, Olio United at 1028 SE Water is also closing its location and going online. Seems to be a trend. Mimi & Lena hopes to do the same.
We wish the owners and employees the best on future endeavors.
We'll miss you Amalee!
