Portland's newest piece of public art will be officially dedicated this afternoon at 4 p.m. The Zoobomb pyle at the corner of 13th Avenue and West Burnside is not only a nod to Portland's bike community, it's incredibly functional as well. When I stopped by the pyle this afternoon, artist Brian Borello was tinkering with the storage locker that comprises the base of the sculpture. Apparently, zoobombers will store helmets, a first aid kit and other necessities in the storage locker and 'pyle' the bikes on top.
Kudos to Borello, RACC and everyone who made this possible. It's truly a Portland landmark.

Details about the dedication can be be found on the Zoobomb website. Zoobombers are meeting at the old rack at 4pm and parading to the new rack at 5pm. Entertainment to follow!
