A Lean, Green Walking Machine!

You might notice something a little bit different about the Salmon Street Springs Fountain this week -- at night, it will appear greenish. Still hungover from March St. Patty's Day celebrations, you ask?

On the contrary, friends! The bureau has temporarily placed green light bulbs in the fountain to help the American Heart Association celebrate Start! Walking Day, an event which will take place on Wednesday at the Salmon Street Springs Amphitheater. (green is the event's theme color.)

The event will run between 11:00am - 2:00pm and will include free health screenings, fun activities and giveaways. Start! Walking Day is meant to encourage people to start walking 30 minutes a day or longer, for a heart-healthier life.
