Portland Saturday Market just kicked off its 36th season in Old Town Chinatown. If you're interested in buying locally made goods, then you'll love this open air marketplace. It offers handmade goods from 350 local artisans: baby gifts, body products, candles, clothing, garden, glass, jewelry, musical instruments, metal sculpture, paper, pet products, photography, portraits, pottery and ceramics, toys, visual arts and wood arts. There's also a food court that offers affordable foods from around the world.
We visited the market on opening weekend and thought we'd share our experience through photographs. We hope you'll find a reason to visit the market. We like to think there are at least 350...

The market is accessible by TriMet's MAX line which stops within the market at the Skidmore Fountain stop. Make a $25 purchase and receive a free TriMet ticket or a two hour parking validation at any Smart Park garage.
