WH Pacific has asked for a pre-application conference for its proposed development on the vacant lot at the intersection of SW River Drive and SW River Parkway in RiverPlace. It is proposing to build a single building containing two hotels, with possible ground floor commercial space.
According to the documents included with the pre-application conference notice, the proposed building would house both a Hyatt Hotel and Summerfield Suites Hotel. The 15-story structure has 13 floors of guest rooms and a 2 level lobby. The Hyatt Place Hotel would have 198 rooms on floors 5 to 15, and the Summerfield Suites would have 126 rooms on floors 2 through 11.
The entire building would be 304,414 square feet, with 263,074 sf for the hotels and 68,340 sf for parking.
The site is located at the RiverPlace streetcar stop providing easy public transportation options to guests.

It is important to note that WH Pacific has not applied for a design review of this project. The design of this proposed building could change significantly prior to design review.
