BroadArts Visionary Salons in Portland Neighborhoods

BroadArts Theatre, Portland's award-wining, progressive musical theater company is creating Portland's future and they need your help...

What? Tables are available on a sliding scale for organizations who would like to play a role in one or all of five upcoming themed, interactive community salons. The BroadArts Visionary Salons will be filled with discussions, presentations, and theatrics all working to bring together our rich community of local leaders, activists and visionaries in order to advocate for the future we want for Portland!

Why? Two years ago, BroadArts received a grant from the City of Portland's VisionPDX project to involve and engage more than the 'usual suspects' in creating a thoughtful and inclusive plan for all residents. BroadArts, true to their comic, creative and innovative reputation, created an interactive, musical spoof on The Wizard of Oz called "If I Were the Queen of this Forest!" to encourage civic participation in planning the "perfect City of Rose." "Queen" performed to rave reviews and is featured on the visionPDX website. Now, with the support of a community-building grant from the Vision Into Action project, the VisionPDX next step, BroadArts is planning the five salons.
