The Portland Beavers in Lents?!

Will the Portland Beavers be playing baseball in Lents in the next few years? Talk about coming out of left field, but what a boost for Lents! The "if" part of this plan is if Portland gets a Major League Soccer team.

Henry Merritt Paulson III plans to bring MLS to Portland. If he's successful then PGE Park would require modifications and become a Soccer, and Vikings football, stadium.

Paulson has identified Lents Park as the first choice for an 8000 seat stadium for the Beavers.

This sounds great to me—what do Lents residents think?

I'm all for it. Growing up here in Portland, I used to watch my older brothers play baseball in lents and I've always wanted to see something major come to this neighborhood to do it the honor it deserves.

    Go Lents!!!

This could be a very favorable move for the Lents community. Imagine Lents as an actual destination for a change rather than a community where residents are constantly commuting out of the area for entertainment or activities.
