Shout out to Old Town Computers

I tend to be a DIY person when it comes to computers. I like getting in there and trying to figure things out. Sometimes it works out great, other times not so much.

There have been a number of lingering things that I have wanted to do to improve our workflow but somehow never had the time to get to them. As Neighborhood Notes has flourished it became clear that I needed help to get these things done.

Enter Old Town Computers.

We've known about them for a while, having seen their space in BackSpace, and decided to give them a call. After explaining our needs, an appointment was scheduled for the next day. Try that with Geek Squad (ummm, we can have someone there next week, maybe).

John arrived on time, and after going over in detail what we needed he got busy. A lingering email issue (thanks to Comcast, grrrrrr) was sorted out, a network storage device is now shared by all, and we have proper backup procedures in place (as opposed to my "sort of" back up plan).

We found Old Town Computers to be professional, knowledgeable, and efficient; all at a very reasonable rate. They don't have to pay for VWs or TV ads.

Thanks for sorting out our issues. It may not have been the most complex job, but it sure is making our lives at Neighborhood Notes easier.

If you have a computer you want to smash with a hammer or a network that doesn't – give these guys a try.
