For girls who live in the neighborhood and go to any school. For the rest of the summer we will continue meeting every Tuesday morning 9-12 at the leader's house. After school starts we will meet on Saturday or Sunday afternoons. We need moms and aunties to be adult helpers and co-leaders.Cost: $10 registration fee + $1 weekly dues. Uniform has been simplified to a vest or sash with emblems and badges. ($9-$20).
Occasional events with other troops in NE Portland. This is a time for girls to be girls. Some activities we are working on: scientific experiment about growing crystals; sewing hotpacks on the sewing machine to give away to family members and elderly people in our churches and retirement centers. Embroidery by hand. Gardening. Cooking. When we get more adults involved, we would like to go hiking and camping.
We would like to do more service projects. We also have free play.
