Cully Sparkles After "National Night Out"

From Portland Online...

On Tuesday (8/5), a group of about 35 volunteers came together with city representatives and police officers to clean portions of Portland's Cully neighborhood. The volunteers picked up litter and swept roadside debris along stretches of Killingsworth and Emerson Streets, and Cully Boulevard, collecting about 40 bags of trash.

Community groups represented at the cleanup included Vecinos en Alerta, The Latino Network, Verde, the Cully Association of Neighbors, Hacienda Community Development Corporation (CDC), and the Ortiz Center. The project benefited from generous donations by SOLV, Portland Parks and Recreation, and the Portland City Inter-Bureau Task Force. SOLV also donated signs printed in English and Spanish to remind neighbors of the social and economic costs of littering.

Kudos to these neighbors and organizations on a job well done!
