NE Portland Tool Library Opens July 19

NE Portland Tool Library Opens July 19

Now here's a good idea: if you need a tool for a project—don't buy it—check it out from the local tool library. That's just what NE neighbors will be able to do as of July 19th with the opening of the NE Portland Tool Library at NE 20th and Killingsworth.

All you need to check out equipment is a NE Portland address and one form of ID. Borrow. Return. Repeat.

If you have a tool to donate, contact Tom at tomscot51@yahoo.com or 503.539.1756. For more information on the NE Tool Library, contact Eric at ericfairlayman@yahoo.com or 503.754.0534.

Was so excited about taking advantage of the NE tool library so I called only to be told that even though I live in NE Portland (Parkrose to be exact) that I was excluded from this opportunity. Seems the boundary lines were drawn arbitrarily. Kind of like Some of the PPS school district lines (IE: Grant, Lincoln and such) Hope the administrators of this project will reconsider.
