Belmont Bike Art Project

I just read about the Belmont Bike Project on the Bike Portland blog. How fantastic!

Basically, it's a community-based effort to create art to decorate the bike corrals on Belmont. Since the sunflower is the symbol of Sunnyside, it has been chosen to adorn the bike corrals at SE 34th and 35th Streets. The community is asked to submit their sunflower designs and they will be on display at a potluck dinner on June 25. Attendees will vote on their favorites and those finalists will be considered by a panel of judges.
