Impromptu Breakfast

Yesterday Pearl Girl and I decided to try Isabel's for breakfast. Its been a busy week, we are on deadline for both the newsletter and e-newsletter, I've got to get my images together for November's show at City Hall, and also for a private show in December. We needed a break. As we walk in we find fellow NN blogger Nancy and her family enjoying breakfast before heading to the Farmer's Market. While chatting and eating who happened to walk in, none other than Stockboy and his wife. this wasn't planned but fun none the less. Some time in the near future we should make this a planned event.

As for Isabel's, yum. Pearlgirl had the blackberry and banana pancakes and I had the breakfast burrito. The pancakes were loaded with blackberries and bananas, as you would expect, but the cakes themselves had great flavor too. My breakfast burrito had scrambled eggs, cheese, and onions rolled in flour tortillas. Served with black beans and salsa. Very fresh flavors, moist eggs and not too much cheese. You should give it a try.

Isabel's husband Billy is staying in town for now watching over the operation, making adjustments as needed, and waiting for the remaining ceiling tiles to arrive. Some how the contractor under estimated the number by about a quarter. But don't let little details like that stop you from visiting. It's good food with both special treats like the King Cakes, pancakes with peanut butter, and healthier options like my breakfast burrito. Everyone will be satisfied.

Isabel's is open for breakfast and lunch everyday, dinners will start after the new year.
