I love a great window display. It's a detail, but it speaks volumes to me about the shop in question, creativity of the owner and their desire to communicate with their customers (and potential customers). The Pearl has some really great window displays and we want to give everyone a peek. We'll bring you an engaging window display at least once per month. We call it "giving good window".This is the window at Physical Element. What's great about it is the story behind it. This is Jo's blog entry about the window:
Physical Element is proud to feature work by fashion designer Jennifer Baggett in our windows this week. Many of you may know Jennifer from Bella Moda Designs and Physical Element over the past two years. Jennifer has just graduated from the apparel design program at the Art Institute. For one week, we are featuring two designs from Jennifer's Senior Collection. Congratulations Jennifer!
Not only is Jo's window visually appealing, she's using it to support a fledgling local designer and build community as well. That combination is really powerful.
Great job!

I would like to note that the design of the window was also Jennifer's idea and execution. I think Portland has a new creative force on its hands - jo
We need more creative forces. Go Jennifer go!
Thanks so much Jo for allowing me to put my designs up in your amazing store! And thank you Neighborhood Notes for the comments. I feel so lucky to live in a city that appreciates new designs!!!
