Developer wins award for Crane Building

Portland real estate developer Guardian Management LLC won the 2007 Project of the Year Award from Multifamily Executive in its Adaptive Reuse category.
The award-winning project is the firm's $22.3 million renovation of the historic Crane Building in downtown Portland.
The Crane Building, once a headquarters and distribution center for a plumbing company, is now a seven-story mixed-use building that includes retail and office space as well as 30 loft apartments and two luxury penthouses.

BLUEHOUR CHEF TO HOLD SPECIAL DINNER
Chef Kenny Giambalvo, the head chef of Bluehour restaurant, will be holding a fundraising dinner-event for the Cheetah Conservation Fund on Friday, October 12, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. Two cheetahs will be on hand at this intimate setting and a special four-course dinner will be served in L'Heure Bleue, Bluehour's private dining room, with 90 percent of the proceeds going directly to the Cheetah Conservation Fund. The Cheetah Conservation Fund is an international group that strives to ensure the long-term survival of the cheetah and its ecosystem through a multi-disciplined and integrated conservation program of research, management, and education.
