The Cully Main Street and Local Street Plans Project is hosting its first public event to launch the year-long effort to make Cully Boulevard more commercially viable and the Cully Neighborhood more accessible for all roadway users. The "Roll and Stroll" event on June 25th offers walking and biking tours of the area with City staff. Residents can also learn about the Cully Main Street area and discuss local transportation issues.
The event starts at the "five corners" intersection—NE Cully Blvd./Prescott/60th—and goes from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The Cully Association of Neighbors will also be hosting a concurrent community celebration recognizing the opening of the Cully Boulevard Green Street, featuring food, music, art and booths; everyone is encouraged to come participate and socialize with neighbors.
An accessible van tour can be arranged if prior interest is expressed to City staff. A number of bicycles and helmets will be on hand for adults and children to use for free for the duration of the tour.
