Event location: Redeemer Lutheran Church, 5431 NE 20th Avenue
It's hard to believe, but we're already looking for planters to help with the last Neighborhood Tree planting in Portland this season! Come one, come all to our Concordia and Vernon neighborhood planting, which will take place on Saturday, March 26th from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. We'll be staging the planting at Redeemer Lutheran Church, located at 5431 NE 20th Avenue, Portland, OR 97211-5509 (map). Though we'll get the planting started at 9, we ask that planting volunteers show up by 8:45 to enjoy morning snacks and sign in for the event.
To make things easy, we'll provide gloves, tools, and all the guidance you'll need. The only thing we ask of our planting volunteers is that you make sure to dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes or boots so you're comfortable while working outdoors.
Please don't hesitate to contact Andrew Land at AndrewL@FriendsofTrees.org or 503.282.8846 ext. 18 for additional information. We'll have planted over 4,000 street and yard trees this season by the time the dust settles and couldn't have done it without you. Thanks so much for helping us keep the Portland-Vancouver area green!
