Event location: Portland neighborhoods

Portland Open Studios has announced its 10th anniversary tour of artists' workplaces in Portland neighborhoods. On the weekends of October 10, 11 and 17, 18, neighbors will have the opportunity to go behind the scenes and see where, how and why painting, sculpture, etchings, weavings, ceramics and more are made in an up close and personal view.

This isn't just an art thing—it's a neighborhood thing! The 2009 Portland Open Studios will feature 82 artists in 38 different Portland neighborhoods. You can walk, bike, bus, drive or shuttle your way through a self-directed tour. It's a great way to discover local artists, steep yourself in the creative process and explore Portland's amazing neighborhoods.

Tickets are on sale now.
