STRIKE UP THE BAND!!!! AND LISTEN TO THE MUSIC!!!!!

It's time to plan on attending the 2009 Avenue of Roses Parade on Saturday April 25, beginning at 9 am at Eastport Plaza.

This year's parade features the first public appearance of the full 2009 Rose Court Princesses and is a sanctioned Portland Rose Festival event!!!

Enjoy the fabulous and renowned "ONE MORE TIME AROUND AGAIN BAND" celebrating its 25th year of playing entertaining music and generating so much fun with the crowd. 'OMTAAB' has entertained thousands all over the United States so come out and enjoy them in your own back yard!!!

Also performing will be another of Portland's favorites, "Kell's Irish Pipe and Drums" playing popular Irish tunes and medleys and wearing Irish green.

Over 40 other entries are scheduled to participate including the Rose City Corvette Club, Loose Ends Car Club, Eastport Izzy's Car Cruz-In participants, Ronald McDonald, Chucky Cheese, the Royal Rosarians, the Portland Rose Society, the Army with a 1952 jeep, the Navy with the model of The USS Enterprise and many more from local neighborhoods and organizations.

Additional fun activities are scheduled at Eastport Plaza and in the Montavilla/East Tabor business district the rest of the day.

Parade begins at 9 am sharp from Eastport Plaza Shopping Center, 4000 SE 82nd Ave. of Roses going north to SE Yamhill St. and disbanding in the Montavilla area.
