Get Me Through the Holidays: 10 Strategies for Coping with Loss and Loneliness on Days That Hold Special Meaning

This free workshop will be held on Saturday, November 8, from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m., at Kenilworth Presbyterian Church, at the corner of 34th and Gladstone in Southeast Portland. Coffee and refreshments at 9:45 a.m.

Staff from the Community Care Program of Providence Hospital will lead in the presentation.

Some days are particularly hard for some folks and this workshop will present practical and meaningful ways to cope during the holidays - a time that can often intensify one's feelings of loneliness and isolation. Many of these strategies are also helpful when encountering other personal holidays like birthdays and anniversaries. In addition, those who wish to support someone experiencing a loss will find the information helpful.
