What: Lents National Night Out Ice-Cream Social
When: Tuesday, August 5th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Where: Lents Park near the Gazebo (south of SE Holgate Street and west of SE 92nd Ave)
Why: Mingling with friends while eating ice-cream, enjoying music, and meeting police officers.
Notable: Free ice cream, free raffle for prizes, and music provided by Portland Metro Concert Band.
Last year Channel 6 attended this event.

Members of the Lents Homeownership Initiative (LHI) are hosting the Lents National Night Out Ice Cream Social.

Come meet your fellow neighbors, police officers, and fireman!! There will be music provided by Portland Metro Concert Band, information on various organizations, FREE ice-cream (first come, first served), and a Free raffle for prizes. National Night Out brings community members together, sending a message to criminals that neighborhoods are fighting back.

This event will be held on Tuesday, August 5th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Lents Park near the Gazebo (south of SE Holgate Street and west of SE 92nd Ave). Free event, open to the public. If you would like more information, please contact Amie at (503) 788-8052 x105 or amie@rosecdc.org.

The Lents Homeownership Initiative (LHI) is comprised of more than 40 nonprofit, public and private sector organizations, and businesses working together to increase homeownership in the Lents Urban Renewal Area and to improve the overall health of the Lents neighborhood.

ROSE Community Development is the organizer of LHI. ROSE has provided affordable housing and other neighborhood improvements in outer southeast Portland since 1992. ROSE gives families a secure place to build lives, raise children, and feel like part of the neighborhood.
