When Cheeky b closed, I wasn't sure where I would get my kitsch fix, but now there's Zimzim right near my house in the Sunrose condos building. Like a toy store for grown ups, there are ice cube trays shaped like teeth, totes made from recycled billboards, staplers shaped like frogs—basically a gift for every inside joke with every friend you've ever had. There's also stylish accessories like bird necklaces and wood cuffs, and fun home details like chandelier wall decals and plastic origami bird houses. A fun diversion to shop for stuff you never knew you needed. (Yes, I really do need a bar of absinthe soap.) Liz Hummer, 1/7/10
