Water Avenue Coffee

The Central Eastside Industrial District is perking up left and right, and it now opens bright and early at this new Buckman coffeeshop in the former Q Center space (around the corner from what will soon be Bunk Bar). The Water Avenue boys—American Barista and Coffee School’s Matt Milletto, Bruce Milletto, and former Stumptown roasting virtuoso Brandon Smyth—joined the Portland micro-roasting club over six months ago, and began serving their beans in the former Bakery Bar space under the moniker Temporary Coffee. Now that they’ve moved into their larger, permanent home, you can take a seat to enjoy their espresso, pour over, and drip brews, as well as Crema pastries, Steven Smith teas, Sahagun chocolate bars, and soon, a lunch menu and educational cuppings.
