It’s hard to call a 36-year-old local watering hole “new” in any way, but after a seriously incredible renovation by New York architect/designer Wayman Robertson, I think you will agree with me that this is a new experience. A warm and stately mahogany bar, tiled walls, antique velvet couches, and huge, deep, dark booths have transformed the no-frills Buckman pub into a cozy restaurant hangout with a vintage patina. The revamped patio harkens back to ProRow’s roots, with simple wooden picnic tables and old classroom chairs; you’ll also recognize the same staff and a familiar menu of nachos, beer-battered fries, and sandwiches.
