Vermonter Erica Lurie has been a Portlander for 10 years, and for most of that time, she's been making women’s clothes. After two years of selling her self-designed lines to boutiques around town, Lurie opened her first shop in Vernon. Now six years later, she has opened a second shop. Her aim, she says, is to provide women from size zero to 16 with garments made using sustainable fabrics and designed to be dressy enough to be work-appropriate, yet fun enough for a night out. See something off the rack that doesn't quite fit? Give her a few days and she and her team of seamstresses will alter it for you. Chad Walsh, 7/3/2012
