Justin Fay's recently opened brewery makes him one of Portland's new beer kids on a pretty crowded block. But Fay's beers are deceptively adventurous. In his tasting room, you'll always find short-run experimental brews on tap, as well as standards like pilsners, IPAs and the unique, yet intuitive India red ale. And if you want to take some Base Camp home with you, fill up a growler with something fresh or, if you don't want to be weighed down, take home 22 ouncers that have been bottled in aluminum rather than glass. (Plus, you can even find those 22s in markets across town.) While there's no kitchen inside the brewery, there is one (in cart form) in the parking lot. Your options include Pizza Box, which makes breadsticks, salads and up to nine 12-inch, wood-fired, brick oven pies and Gonzo Falafel and Hummus. All you need to do is place your order with your bartender who'll then bring you your hummus platter, falafel sandwich, shawarma fries (tahini, hot sauce and free-range chicken), or Pizza Box pie while you sip and catch up with friends.
