Julie Shamblin is a freelance writer and editor who lives in downtown Portland with her husband. She loves traveling and shopping but is happiest when she can combine either of those two activities with writing. She is an Oregon State University alum who, although originally from Southern Oregon, considers Portland her home and loves learning all about the city. She especially likes to keep up with urban development news, the shopping scene and fun new bars and restaurants.
