Hotel Planned for Pearl District
After years of rumors about hotels in the Pearl, real plans to develop one are underway. Representatives of SERA Architects have scheduled a pre-application conference with the Bureau of Development Services proposing “a new, six-story, 225-room hotel” on NW 9th Avenue at NW Marshall Street. Update 6/14/2012: The 2012 season of the Lents International Farmers Market runs every Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., from June 17 through Oct. 28. At the start of the 2012 season on June 15, the Lents Farmers’ Market will be held on Fridays from 3 to 8 p.m. instead of Sunday mornings. The market will still serve the same purpose, but the new arrangement will let organizers try out more exciting programming. more...
