Little things can make a big difference: Finding the perfect Portland neighborhood where you feel at home, shopping at the local corner market where the staff knows your name and tastes, and getting the right piece of business advice can make or break your Portland experience.

And that’s why we’re here. We build meaningful relationships and connect Portland neighbors with local resources so that we all have the ability to create the lives (and businesses) we want, in the city we love, together.

The Localist: Your directory of Portland’s finest indie businesses, services and amenities. Search by neighborhood, business district or citywide to discover where to shop, dine and play. 

Localendar: Your Portland event calendar. Find local events or add your own. Create a social media campaign to help spread the word.

Local U: Your small business education center. Ask questions, get answers from local experts. Connect with local, small business service providers that can help your business thrive.

How we do it

Think local first. Your most memorable Portland experiences are as unique and lovely as you are. And that’s why we exclusively promote the local, independently owned businesses that create and maintain Stumptown's quirky character. Because, without our support, Portland could look and feel like any other strip mall-ridden city in the country. And who wants that?

Explore with intention. Your Portland experience extends beyond the central city, and that’s why we’re all over the (Portland) map. Literally. We find local resources in the 95 neighborhoods and 40-plus business districts all over the city to help you connect with the people, places and things that will create your best PDX experience.

Build relationships. Your best experiences are built on good relationships, and that’s why face time and real conversations are such an important part of our process.
