Iberdrola to buy wind turbines from GE

Why am I posting about a wind turbine purchase? The purchaser, Iberdrola Renewables, has their US headquarters located in the Pearl District, where they employ 375 people. Iberdrola recently changed its name from PPM Energy. PPM was previously owned by Scottish Power, Iberdrola purchased Scottish Power in 2006.Iperdrola operates wind farms in Sherman County, east of the Cascades along the Columbia River, along with sites around the country and world. Its always surprising to learn what businesses are located in your neighborhood.
