Neighborhood Notes in the Pearl District

Neighborhood Notes recognizes that communication and connection are vital to the success of our individual buildings and neighborhood. The Pearl’s unique mixed use community demands that we partner closely with our business and residential neighbors to ensure positive growth and enhanced livability. Together, we can make a difference.

Our goal is to learn, share and practice better community living through conversation. Our newsletter--Neighborhood Notes in the Pearl District--is a tangible effort to begin that conversation.

The newsletter is distributed to Pearl District homeowners associations (HOAs) with approval from each building's board of directors. Since this is our first issue and distribution channels are under development, we are making it available online. If you enjoy the newsletter and did not receive it in your building, we urge you to speak with your board of directors. Some buildings are distributing via email, others are printing hard copies and several are doing both.

We are working closely with each HOA and offering the option of including its building news in the Neighborhood Notes newsletter. Building news is formatted as an insert to the newsletter and is only distributed within the building it is about. It's pretty cool!

We are hoping to include apartments (affordable and market rate) and businesses in our distribution and will be making contact in the coming months to make that a reality.

I'm proud of the newsletter because it is an authentic voice of the neighborhood. Our contributors live and/or work in the neighborhood and that makes the publication special and unique. I'd like to thank our contributors and sponsors for making it possible. You guys rock!

If you enjoy this newsletter, be sure and sign up for our website email newsletter as well. It will be completely different and offer content not found on our blog or even in Neighborhood Notes in the Pearl District.

Neighborhood Notes in the Pearl District is published 6 times per calendar year. Our next issue is November/December 2007. Our website e-newsletter will be generated monthly beginning October 1.
